A mobile health unit has been purchased by Vila do Bispo Câmara to assist the needs of the population, particularly the elderly who lack transportation alternatives.
The fully-equipped vehicle represents an investment by the municipality of more than €74,000 and was officially presented to the population on January 18.
The purchase of the mobile health unit follows an agreement in 2011 between the Câmara and the Barlavento Health Centres Group (ACES), part of the regional health authority (ARS Algarve).
