A desperate family searching for a missing 14-year-old was plunged into mourning today as the body of Filipe Costa was discovered in an outbuilding not far from where he went missing on Sunday evening.
PJ police are reported to already have at least one suspect in custody, with more detentions expected “within the next few hours”.
The tragedy is understood to have resulted from a punch-up between youths at the Feira dos Magos.
According to press reports, the last time Costa was seen alive was in the fairground.
His mother Rita launched a Facebook appeal for information on her son’s whereabouts, after he failed to come home after the fair.
GNR police and PJ counter-terrorism agents had been searching the area since Tuesday morning.
Charges against the youth in question are understood to involve both kidnapping and murder.
