A 22-month-old baby girl escaped serious injury when she fell from a third floor window onto a washing line in Caldas da Rainha on Tuesday. The line served to soften the impact when the child hit the ground and she is now suffering only from a broken leg. Doctor Jorge Mesquita said: “If it hadn’t been for the washing line, the situation could have been very complicated”.
