A SERIES of tremors were felt in the Algarve and Rio Maior, in central Portugal, on Saturday night and Sunday morning but there was very little damage and no injuries sustained.
According to the Meteorological Institute (IM), the first tremor occurred at 9.19pm in Rio Maior, with the epicentre 10km from the city and measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale.
At 1.24am on Sunday, a second tremor was felt in Olhão and according to IM, the epicentre was 80km south of the city with a magnitude of 3.6.
