An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was registered 55 kilometres southeast of Olhão on Saturday evening (September 17).
According to Portugal’s sea and atmosphere institute (IPMA), the quake happened at 8.24pm but was not felt onland.
No damage or injuries were reported.
