Minister for the Sea travels to US to “sell Portugal’s sea”

Minister for the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, is in Washington taking part in a conference on the oceans. She will be meeting with US investors who have shown “interest in developing activities related to the economy of the sea”, say reports. Vitorino’s first meetings were to be with Bloomberg Philanthropies, Encourage Capital and Lockheed Martin investment funds. The government meantime has pledged itself to sustainable solutions for Portugal’s sea.
