Minister for the economy António Costa Silva has admitted that energy prices are likely to increase as a result of the conflict in the Middle East. “With the war between Israel and Hamas, prices are bound to go up”, he told journalists as he left the Portugal Smart Cities Summit in Lisbon, stressing politicians now have to be ‘attentive’ to “all the uncertainty we’re experiencing with international geopolitical tensions”.
