Michelin recommends restaurant Slow Food

Casa do Avô, which claims to be the first and only restaurant in Albufeira to work with organic products, has been recommended in the 2010 Michelin Guide to Portugal.

The restaurant, which opened in 2007 and promotes traditional Portuguese cuisine as part of the Slow Food Movement, is described in the guide as “well managed by the owner who is responsible for the smooth operation of the restaurant. This establishment has a regional look and feel, and superb traditional cuisine”.

Casa do Avô has been awarded a rating of ‘two forks’, indicating that the food is good and at a moderate price while the restaurant has also been awarded the Bib Gourmand award for the second year running.
