Having been formed in March 2018, MICASA Management Services is the result of one Algarvean’s lengthy experience in the property management sector and his daughter’s desire to hone her entrepreneurial skills.
A seasoned resident of the Algarve since 1986, Mark Colebatch has seen the evolution of the region to the tourist hotspot it is today. Having learnt the ins and outs of the property management sector in Carvoeiro and seeing the potential in the area, he started his own company in 1990. Through hard work and dedication, he garnered over 15 years of successful experience in the business until it was time to take a well-deserved break.
Meanwhile, his daughter Chelsea Hawker, born and raised in the Algarve, attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and Business Relations in 2010. Bilingual in Portuguese and English and having studied French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin, she worked as a PA in an international law firm and up-and-coming winery. Fast-forward to 2016 and the duo decided it was time for a new project.
Providing a comprehensive array of services to residents and non-residents alike, MICASA Management Services’ core business focuses on property management, including rentals, cleaning, repairs, and small remodels. But with an ever-increasing demand with Portuguese bureaucracies, the company is also able to provide translations and assistance with residency, driving licences, rental licences, wills, tax obligations, company-forming procedures, etc.
