Portugal’s metal industry registered over €14 billion-worth of exports in 2016, a new record which made it the industrial sector with the most exports last year.
Most exports went to Spain (€3.9 billion) and Germany (€2.5 billion).
The data was revealed by the Portuguese association of the metallurgy and metalworking industry (AIMMAP).
