São Bartolomeu de Messines’ historic centre is due to undergo a €4 million revamp, Silves Council has announced.
The full details of the project are due to be unveiled on Friday (April 9) at the Messines parish council during a public presentation event which will be live streamed on Silves Council’s social media pages.
All that has been revealed so far is that the revamp will span a “vast area of São Bartolomeu de Messines, including the whole historic centre” and will involve the complete renovation of existing infrastructure.
The goal is to carry out a “substantial transformation of an important part of the town, improving people’s quality of life and the socioeconomic development of Messines’ urban centre, making it more appealing and competitive,” says the council.
