Mercedes training sessions bring 15,000 people to Algarve
Over 15,000 people from all corners of the world are expected at the biggest event of the vehicle sector ever to be held in Portugal, the Global Training Experience 2014 by Mercedes.
Taking place in less than a month – April 12 –at Herdade dos Salgados in Albufeira, the hotel will hold training sessions for international Mercedes concessionaires over the course of a few weeks, in which they will be presented to new cars and new models of the prestigious German brand.
It is good news for the Algarve and the hotel, says Mário Azevedo Ferreira, the CEO of CS Hotels & Resorts group.
The head of the group that owns Herdade dos Salgados stressed the importance of the event “as it takes place during the region’s low season and will have a strong positive impact on the national and regional tourism statistics”.
