MEO XL Games brings videogames and esports to Portimão

Thousands expected at Portimão Arena

Portimão Arena is preparing to host MEO XL Games, an event which will take place between September 28 and October 1 and promises to be an unmissable event for videogame and esports lovers.

The thousands of expected visitors in Portimão can look forward to a “variety of experiences that showcase the creative and entertainment possibilities that video games have offered to people of all ages, with a particular focus on areas such as virtual reality, esports, and the latest technical advancements in video games,” organisers say.

For esports enthusiasts, the MEO XL Games events will once again be the stage for major electronic sports competitions, allowing visitors to compete against each other in various tournaments, including Counter-Strike, EA FC 24, Fortnite, Stumble Guys, Rocket League, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and other popular games, with the chance to win “attractive prizes”.

The event, organised by E2Tech in partnership with the Portimão Council, will also allow students to learn about the possibilities of specialising in game development.

Tickets are already available for sale on the event’s website and at Bol and cost €12 for daily tickets or €20 for a full four-day pass.
