Mendes Bota joins Michelle Obama in ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ campaign

Abduction || Algarve MEP Mendes Bota has joined the ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ campaign, which pleads for the release of over 270 Nigerian schoolgirls abducted last month in northeast Nigeria by Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram.
Pictured holding a computer with the ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ slogan on its screen, the MEP, known for his campaigns against domestic violence, was keen to show the Algarve, through his representation, was supporting the search for the Nigerian girls.
The mass abduction generated widespread international attention, particularly so after the terrorist group’s leader recorded a video announcing the organisation would be selling the girls into slavery and forced marriages.
The US has since deployed a team of experts and around 80 troops to the area to aid the Nigerian authorities in their search for the girls.
Well known figures such as Michelle Obama, top model Irina Shayk and singers P.Diddy, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys are some of the famous faces behind the ‘Bring Back our Girls’ campaign – and now Mendes Bota too.
