Memory Café, organised by charity Memory Lane Algarve, is being relaunched with the next event taking place on Wednesday, February 26 in the community hall next to the church in Guia, from 10am to 1pm.
The café welcomes those whose lives are affected by memory loss, dementia and loneliness. This is a new group where families and friends can go along to make new friendships with other people in similar situations and gain support through talking to others, whilst those who are living with the disease can enjoy different activities that stimulate their minds and bodies.
The event is free to attend. There will complimentary tea and coffee, cakes and biscuits and lots of enjoyable things happening such as crafting sessions dementia presentations, dancing, singing and getting to know new people.
Another Memory Café will be held at the same time and place on Wednesday, March 25 and will run on the last Wednesday of every month.
