A number of local mayors from the Western Algarve (Barlavento region) will be getting together on December 18 at TEMPO theatre in Portimão for a debate organised by the town’s non-profit organisation Teia D’Impulsos.
The idea is to get the recently-elected mayors to discuss all the problems municipalities face in this complicated social and economic climate and how, by working together, they might be able to overcome them.
Participants include the heads of Portimão, Monchique, Lagoa, Silves, Lagos and Albufeira councils, while Teia D’Impulsos will be represented by Carla Alfarrobinha. The debate will be moderated by Nuno Silva, and organised in association with Portimão borough council and the Costa D’Oiro radio station.
Anyone interested in taking part is welcome. The debate kicks off at 9pm.
