A meeting today between prime minister António Costa and Luís Montenegro, the new leader of the centre-right PSD party, concluded without a decision over the way forwards for Lisbon airport. The drama of Lisbon’s obsolete airport is constantly presented in the media as an urgent matter, needing wide political consensus. “We exchanged information that each one has and we would like to speak again shortly on the subject”, the PM told reporters. The meeting covered ‘various topics’ and took 3 hours and 40 minutes. Luís Montenegro left without speaking with the press.
