Enjoying “fine cuisine and exquisite wines” in the company of a respected chef and sommelier is the new experience Vila Vita Parc in Porches is offering at its beautiful wine cellar.
The idea is to help visitors “better understand the secrets behind the creation of each dish and the pairing of wines and their stories in a unique and elevating dining experience”.
Menus are varied, including Portuguese, Italian, French and British cheeses, a selection of charcuterie and tapas such as octopus salad, foie-gras, prawns, mackerel tartar or ‘Pata Negra’ cured ham with eggs and asparagus.
There are also more traditional-style Portuguese meals, such as cod with chickpea purée, or oxtail with turnip purée. All dishes are complemented by an “excellent selection of wines” from the cellar.
Entitled ‘Meet the Chef at the Cellar’, the experience is open to guests, gourmets and wine lovers in general and also provides an inside look at the resort’s famous wine cellar, “one of its best kept secrets”.
Meals can be booked any day between 3pm and 9pm at a cost of €98 per head.
