Brian Sparrow will be at the Griffin Bookshop to sign copies of his brand-new thriller, Let the Bulls Lock Horns, on Tuesday, December 7, between 11.30am and 1pm. The book, set partly in Rhodesia during the Bush Wars and based on first-hand experience, is an action-packed novel which deals with racial wars and political intrigue, and keeps the tension mounting. Brian Sparrow lived in Africa for many years and was involved in politics there. He now lives in the Algarve.
Tiffany Murray, described by the British press as a ‘rising star in British Fiction’, will be reading extracts from, and signing copies of, her brand-new novel, Happy Accidents, at the Griffin Bookshop on Friday, December 10 between 6pm and 8pm. Her brilliantly funny first novel mixes quirky humour and dark secrets in an easy style which is reminiscent of John Irving and Sue Townsend.
The Daily Mail describes her book as ‘witty, romantic and irreverent…inventive, funny and affecting, this is a story that is powerful without being mawkish’. Available in paperback at 17 euros, Tiffany’s book will be on sale during the event, which will be accompanied by wine tasting from WineMine and delicious mince pies to get you in the mood for some Christmas shopping!
Everyone is welcome to attend both events at the Griffin Bookshop. For more information call 289 393 904 or email [email protected]
