Delfo Schiaffino is the new head chef of Conrad Algarve’s signature restaurant Gusto by Heinz Beck.
Says the resort, Schiaffino will “continue to craft his passion for fine cuisine under the helm of three-Michelin starred chef Heinz Beck”.
“Chef Delfo’s passion for quality ingredients and fine cuisine started early, growing up in a creative family between Portofino, in Italy, and Soest, Germany, developing his varied knowledge of gastronomy across different cultures,” the resort says.
This new position follows Delfo’s latest stint with master chef Heinz Beck as executive sous chef at Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair, London. Over the past year, he has assisted head chef Heros De Agostinis in running the kitchen of the prestigious hotel, whilst being instrumental in the opening of Beck at Brown’s.
Conrad Algarve adds that “Delfo is looking forward to presenting his inspiring dishes to Gusto guests, combining original culinary creations from Beck’s La Pergola in Rome (Italy)”.
Gusto by Heinz Beck is open Wednesday to Sunday between 7pm and 10pm.
