SÃO BRÁS de Alportel’s Cine-Teatro will be the venue for a forum entitled ‘Alimentação Mediterrânica’, or Mediterranean Diet, this Saturday (November 12).
The event aims to bring about greater awareness concerning the advantages and disadvantages of a diet based on typical Mediterranean products. Various perspectives will be considered during the forum, for example the social and cultural issues related to the Mediterranean diet, as well as environmental, nutritional and historical factors. During the afternoon session, topics on the table will be: “A diagnosis of the present situation in the Algarve” and “Bread, wine and olive oil – the fundamental trilogy of the Mediterranean diet”.
