Between September 9 and 11, the village of Salir near Loulé will be the centre of a medieval arts festival.
Musicians, actors and artists will be performing at the festival with shows including music, dance, and fire-eating while several specialist groups will be playing medieval and Arabic music.
There will also be opportunities to eat traditional foods, buy souvenirs and also rent costumes at the festival.
The festival will begin each day at 7pm and admission is free.
