The only survivor in the Meco wave tragedy in Sesimbra in December that killed six university students has been called to testify before the Public Prosecutor.
Student João Gouveio, 23, who managed to swim to the shore after a freak wave swept the students away to sea, will be asked to explain what exactly happened in the early hours of December 15.
It is reported that the maritime authorities have already submitted the youth’s first declarations to Setúbal court.
