Gerry and Kate McCann made a statement to the press on Monday morning (May 14) and said that they are clinging to the hope that four-year-old Madeleine is still alive.
“Until we have concrete news to the contrary, we have to believe that Madeleine is safe and well and being looked after,” Gerry McCann said to the assembled press.
He spoke about the “tremendous support” he and wife Kate have had from around the world, and made it clear that they are not leaving Praia da Luz to return to the UK any time soon.
