Kate and Gerry McCann are preparing to return to Praia da Luz, where their daughter Madeleine vanished on May 3, 2007.
Gerry McCann revealed they were planning to visit the area before the end of the year.
The trip will be the first time the couple, of Rothley, Leicestershire, have been back to the Algarve resort together since their daughter disappeared.
“It was the last place she saw Madeleine and there is an emotional bond,” said Gerry McCann during a speech at the International Bar Association’s conference in Madrid on Tuesday.
