MCCANN ERIKSON has won the account to run the advertising campaign for the Algarve’s International Car Racing Track in Portimão.
The selection of the Portuguese affiliate of the international advertising group was announced this week and followed a tender held in 2007 by Parkalgar, owner of the Algarve Motor Park.
Under the contract, McCann Erikson will be responsible for developing and implementing a nationwide campaign in multimedia, involving newspapers, television, outdoors and internet.
Algarve’s racing track is expected to open on November 1 and will host the final round of the World Superbike Championships the following day, November 2.
