Gonçalo, the 15-year-old who plotted “to kill at least 60 people” at his school in Massamá, Sintra, has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in a youth detention centre. The boy, whose defence was that he was a victim of bullying, injured a school janitor and stabbed two colleagues last October, after which police discovered he had been plotting a massacre. His lawyer said he will be appealing.
