Central European Bank president Mario Draghi has considered Portugal to be a success story of the European Union’s financial policies.
“Portugal has reached the stage where it is fully reaping the benefits of the measures that have been undertaken in the past years,” he said, following a question put forward by Left Bloc Euro MP Marisa Matias. He added the country has regained its “financial stability” and “unemployment is dropping fast”.
