March “one of wettest in last few decades”

After all the lamentations of the state of drought Portugal was in, March arrived and changed everything. Now with a ‘wet and dry’ April taking us towards the summer, March was actually one of the wettest in the last few decades – ending with no region any longer in a state of ‘extreme drought’. The situation isn’t perfect however. The ‘situation of drought’ persists (it is simply not as bad as it was in February). March was also one of the warmest in a long time, “without a single frost”. Indeed, the whole winter was marked by above normal temperatures, and few ‘cold snaps’. As for Easter, predictions are for “one of the warmest Easters in the last decade”, say reports.
