Portugal’s president Marcelo has joined heads of states and world leaders from all over the globe in sending his condolences to Queen Elizabeth II over the death of her husband, Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh. Said the president’s message: “It was with profound consternation and sincere regret that I learnt of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh, husband to Your Majesty. In this moment of grief and pain, I present Your Majesty and the whole Royal Family, in name of the people of Portugal and myself, my sincere condolences, transmitting my deepest feelings for the immeasurable loss suffered”.
