Marcelo sends euthanasia law to Constitutional Court

The moment he received the law approved recently in parliament for the decriminalisation of assisted death, President Marcelo referred it to the Constitutional Court for judicial consideration on his understanding that it “uses excessively indeterminate concepts” that he feels are too vague for the justification of bringing a life to an end. Judges now have 25 days to pronounce on the document before the president will need to make a decision. The likelihood is that the law will go back to parliament for reformulation.
