“Can you imagine yourself exploring the indoor and outdoor spaces of a shopping mall after hours?”
This is the question asked by Free Challenge Association, which is organising the first Night Run at Mar Shopping Algarve on July 7.
The Night Run is described as “an after-hours event for those seeking a unique experience on these warm summer nights.”
The challenge involves a five-kilometer course through both the indoor and outdoor areas of Mar Shopping and the Designer Outlet Algarve, including “restricted-access corridors not normally open to the public”.
The Night Run will start at 11.30pm, when the shopping mall is closed.
“It’s truly a unique experience where physical activity and the spirit of discovery come together perfectly,” says Free Challenge, which is well-known for hosting other events in the Algarve such as Vilamoura Nature Run, São Silvestre Quarteira, Albufeira Vertical Race, and AP Victória Falésia Run.
Registrations can be made starting on July 2 at Mar Shopping Algarve or online.
The registration fee, ranging from €16 to €18, includes an athlete’s kit, which consists of a bib, a technical t-shirt, various gifts, and advantages and discounts on services from sponsors.
The event will also have a charitable side, with €1 from each registration going to Nascer Prematuro – Associação Portuguesa de Pais e Bebés Prematuros (Premature Birth – Portuguese Association of Parents and Premature Babies).
