Mar Shopping is to hold an ‘adoption weekend’ for Loulé’s ARA animal shelter.
Starting on Saturday February 29 and continuing on Sunday March 1, ARA rescues – which benefit from ‘intense exposure’ to volunteers and are thus very well-socialised – will be either wagging their tails expectantly (or purring) in the hope of ‘forever homes’.
Anyone interested in obliging needs simply to turn up at Mar Shopping over the two days, between 10am and 8pm, and ‘let the magic happen’.
And anyone who would like to help volunteers run the event should call the shelter ahead of time on 289 462384/ 910476885 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
ARA is delighted to have been given this chance to find new homes for some of its charges.
Said a spokesperson for the charity that is battling to stay open due to licensing issues (click here) “it’s heartwarming to consider that the largest commercial space in the borough is for all intents and purposes recognising the legitimacy of work that the council wants to shut down”.
