Mar Shopping Algarve – the mall that is due to open next month at the IKEA complex in Loulé – is hosting a job fair between Thursday, August 31 and Saturday, September 2.
Organised in conjunction with Portugal’s employment institute (IEFP), it will give job seekers an opportunity to learn more about the vacancies on offer directly from their potential future employers.
The job fair will take place between 11am and 7pm at the IKEA store car park.
Starbucks – which will open its first café in the Algarve – McDonald’s, Joshua’s, 100 Montaditos, Centros Único and Flying Tiger Copenhagen will be among the over 100 companies recruiting at the fair.
“We remain committed to offering the best conditions for employers and candidates to meet, which is why we are hosting a second job fair,” said the shopping centre’s boss Herman Gewert.
As he explained, the first job fair was a success having attracted around 700 people.
MAR Shopping Algarve, opening on September 27, is part of the €200 million mega complex that includes the IKEA store (inaugurated in March) and retail fashion outlet (Designer Outlet Algarve) due also to open this autumn.
