Herman Gewert has been announced as the managing director of MAR Shopping, the shopping centre that will open at Loulé’s IKEA complex in the summer of 2017.
With over 32 years of experience as an IKEA employee, the Swedish manager has spent the last 13 running shopping centres in Russia, Italy and Denmark.
“It’s a special challenge,” Gewert said of his new venture in the Algarve. “It’s an honour to be part of such an important project for IKEA Centres in Portugal”.
As the Resident has reported, MAR Shopping will feature stores such as Primark, Mango, C&A, Punt Roma, Sfera, Tiffosi, Aromas and Sephora, as well as a number of brands owned by the Inditex Group (Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Zara Home, Pull & Bear, Oysho, Lefties and Massimo Dutti).
