FREE MAPS were handed out to people visiting the holy shrine at Fátima, 120km north of Lisbon, at the weekend, with a picture of the Virgin Mary on one side and advertisements for sex toys and aphrodisiacs on the other.
When Catholic Church representatives found out, they immediately tried to stop the distribution. Thousands descended on the sanctuary on May 13 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the first appearance of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children on a hillside near the town.
