Man suspected of fatal knife attack in Praia da Rocha turns himself in

A 21-year-old man suspected of killing another man by stabbing him in the neck and leaving him bleeding out on the ground in Praia da Rocha has turned himself in.

The stabbing happened at around 4.30am on Saturday, March 2 on Rua António Feu near the Mira Sol building in Praia da Rocha.

According to reports, the attack happened after the victim refused to give the man a cigarette.

Brálio Tomé, 32, was rushed to Portimão Hospital, but his injuries were too severe and caused a massive haemorrhage which led to his death.

The suspect had been on the run since the attack but finally turned himself in on Wednesday at Portimão PJ police. He is due to be heard in court.
