PJ police are investigating the shooting of a man (no age yet specified) in Monte da Caparica (Almada, near Lisbon) in the early hours of this morning. Shots were fired, and calls made to police, at around 2.15am. When agents arrived at the scene, the victim was not present. It was only later that Hospital Garcia de Orta contacted authorities to say a man with bullet wounds to the abdomen had been admitted. The victim is understood to have sustained two shots to the stomach.
