40-year-old man was killed yesterday (November 18) in a road accident involving two cars and a truck on the IC1 road in Silves.
The collision happened at around 4pm, according to civil protection authorities.
Another man, said to be the driver of one of the cars involved, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Portimão Hospital.
Traffic ground to a halt between Algoz and Tunes for several hours, causing long bottlenecks.
The cause of the accident is so far unknown. GNR police are investigating.
