A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after being set light to and dumped by the side of the road near Coina, Seixal, south of Lisbon. Passers by initially thought the man – in his 30s and believed to be from Eastern Europe – was a dead body, but firefighters managed to reanimate him and get him to Almada’s Garcia de Orta hospital.
