A MAN was shot recently after a disagreement took place at the well-known Solar dos Pinheiros brothel, located in Estrada das Sesmarias, near Lagoa. The 44-year-old victim, who had been living in Albufeira, died as a result of the gunshot wound.
The incident, which took place at around 4am last Friday, followed a heated argument between various men who had been visiting the establishment. According to the Polícia Judiciária, three men, all of Portuguese origin and aged between 30 and 45, are suspected of involvement in the murder and have been detained.
The victim was transported to the Portimão’s Barlavento Hospital in a private car, but, due to mechanical problems, it was impossible for the vehicle to complete the journey, delaying his arrival to the emergency department, which proved fatal.
The suspects have appeared at an initial court hearing, where one has been placed in prison pending trial, while the other two are required to report to the police station on a weekly basis.
