A 26-year-old man was arrested on Monday (February 8) after live streaming himself on Facebook while driving on the A22 motorway in Portimão.
GNR police were alerted and were able to intercept the driver near the Portimão exit and stop the “danger that he could cause to other drivers on the motorway”.
Authorities confirmed that the man was driving without a driver’s licence as well as insurance.
The driver was named an official suspect (arguido) and was due to be heard at Portimão’s criminal court on Tuesday.
