A 55-year-old man was arrested at Faro Airport for trying to smuggle 10 kilos of hashish onto a flight to the UK, PJ police announced this morning.
According to the criminal police force, the man was travelling alone and had several packages of drugs taped to his body. He was also carrying UK banknotes.
PJ police add that the man, who has a “history of drug trafficking and violent crimes”, has been remanded in custody.
