A 52-year-old man was arrested after he was caught using counterfeit money in the municipality of Albufeira.
After being alerted, GNR police were able to intercept the man, who was found to be in possession of over €30,000 in counterfeit banknotes.
The man was arrested and was due to be heard in court yesterday.
