Shopping malls in the Greater Lisbon area are to stay closed for another 10 days at least, due to the fact that various suburbs have become ‘virus hotspots’.
Said PM António Costa yesterday, next week’s Council of Ministers will re-evaluate the situation, but everything points to a better picture emerging by June 15.
The hotspots are clearly defined, he said, and more often than not involve construction/ temporary labourers. For now, authorities are reinforcing testing, and all 18 municipalities around the capital are barred from situations bringing together more than 10 people at any one time.
