A major police operation saw authorities arrest six people and seize two firearms and a considerable amount of drugs in the Algarve on Tuesday (June 29).
The investigation started around a year ago and led to 11 house searches in Estoi (Faro) and Almancil (Loulé), PSP Faro’s subcommissioner Diogo Magalhães told Lusa news agency.
Three other men were also named official suspects (arguidos).
Authorities had yet to quantify the amount of cocaine, heroin and hashish they found, he added.
