A Vintage Tea Dance in aid of Madrugada, the Luz-based palliative care association, will be held at the Penina Hotel near Portimão on Sunday, May 22, from 3pm to 6pm.
Discerning shufflers can show off their best moves – or others can simply go along and listen – to the sound of swing and blues music played by the Lagos (formerly Chinicato) Light Orchestra. An afternoon tea is included along with prizes for the best dancers and 50s-style costumes.
There will also be a plethora of tea-themed side shows on offer to whet your appetite for even more swing and jive, all in aid of Madrugada’s work to provide care and support for people facing life-limiting illness.
