Have you ever wanted to try your hand at golf without spending a fortune before knowing whether or not it was for you? Or you might have wanted to leave a set of clubs for guests in a holiday home rental? If so, you should pay a visit to the Madrugada sports sale at its Praia da Luz charity shop on Saturday February 16.
Thanks to the generosity of members of the Boavista, Serra de Monchique (Silves) and Vale de Milho golf clubs, there will be a good selection of used and ‘as new’ clubs, bags, shoes, shirts, shorts and all the paraphernalia of golfing, plus other sporting goods on sale at bargain prices.
The sale, organised by Madrugada Vice President Trish Quinlan, will run from 10am to 5pm and be located above the Luz charity shop (first building on the left entering Luz from the east where the road splits into a one way system). “This sale is intended to kick-start this year’s fundraising events aimed at providing day centre facilities for people and their families affected by life-limiting illness,” states Trish.
“As well as coming and purchasing sports items, we are also encouraging people to bring along any quality items suitable for resale in our charity shops. Here is a chance to do a little spring-cleaning and help us help others with your unwanted fashion, bric a brac, household or whatever saleable items you can donate.”
