Madrugada BLiP success

More than 1,000 Euros was raised in aid of Madrugada, a charity which supports people with life limiting illnesses, during the Better Living in Portugal (BLiP) exhibition held on October 16 and 17.

The charity sold vintage clothing and a special Algarve Impressions 2011 calendar featuring watercolours by local artist Gabriela Clark at the exhibition in Portimão.

Meanwhile, Madrugada also launched a new membership scheme inviting people to become annual supporters for a fee of 40 Euros to boost the charity funds.

A spokesman for the charity said: “Madrugada would like to thank Sheena Rawcliffe and Kate Fitzsimmons from exhibition organisers Exiberia for the vintage clothing initiative as well as for supporting Madrugada through The Resident Group publications in a wide variety of ways.”
