It took just nine hours for all 15,000 tickets for Madonna’s September 13 Lisbon concert to sell out at the Pavilhão Atlântico – a record for Portugal, which has led the concert promoters to announce a second performance for the following night. The tickets for the second concert were put up for sale last Friday. The previous day, Thursday, the scene had been one of mayhem at the FNAC centre in Lisbon’s Colombo Shopping Centre. Queues started at the door at 6am and five minutes after being put up for sale, 1,000 tickets had already been sold. By 1pm, 6,500 had been sold and by 6.30pm the concert had sold out.
